Junior section coaching

Picture
John Lee and Roger Banfield successfully completed an intense course at Donyngs Indoor Bowls Centre to qualify for the Level 1 Award in coaching Bowls ( QCF ) which has been developed by Bowls England in partnership with The National Source for Bowls . Both our bowlers undertook this course and in addition acquired CRS accreditation in order that Teddington Bowls Club could establish and start a Junior Section which will ultimately provide the club with a continuous source of future mature members .

John Lee deserves all the plaudits since he has not only worked diligently during the close season putting together a blueprint  and organising the funding to provide the necessary resources and equipment , but also thoroughly researched the project to ensure its ensuing success . Already the Junior section has taken shape and has six active members . Without question this scheme is a welcome breath of fresh air which could secure the club's long-term future since apart from the youngsters , the sport is attracting interest from their parents and other family members .
