JUBILEE TRIPLES COMPETITION 2022
Posted 05-06-2022
Jubilee Trophy - Tuesday 31st May 2022
It was a cold and damp day, but we were lucky enough to be able to complete all 5 rounds, each of 4 ends of this seeded 3 wood triples competition with just one very brief rain break. There was a large downpour in the hour before the start and another just after we had finished and were safely in the Tea Room.
Congratulations to the winners, Roger B, Chris and Vernon! They thoroughly deserved their victory having won all 4 of their matches and finishing on a net score of +22.
Val, Jonathan and Eileen were the runners up, winning 3 of their 4 matches with a net score of +14. The other 3 teams finished with negative net scores, David, Victor and Stuart coming in 3rd place.
Many thanks to everyone who took part. Special thanks to Maureen for another splendid tea and to Brian for kindly playing to make our numbers up to 15.
Next up is the Songest Cup, a seeded 3 wood pairs competition, on Tuesday 14th June and I hope that there will be a good turnout.
