Mike Whitby Triples – Thursday 23rd September

The weather was very pleasant, and we had 15 players taking part in this year’s competition – which represents over 60% of the club’s members. It was a good day, the only sad thing being that it was the last club competition of the season because we couldn’t get enough players for Sunday’s Jubilee Triples.

Three teams finished on a positive differential score. Well done to Alfie, Bernard and Colin who finished on +2 and to Derek, Stuart and Jonathan who finished on +4. Congratulations to the winners, Maureen, Victor and Bob who finished well ahead on +12.

The match was followed by another excellent tea and raffle – many thanks to Maureen. Congratulations to Bernard for winning the first prize. Vernon presented the trophies to the
winning team [see photo].
