Mayor's Match - Sunday 1st May 2022

It was a disappointing start to the season for Colin, Victor and Chris as we lost to Hampton, who won the Mayor's Cup - by only one shot. Strawberry Hill were a close second. We started off well and then it all went wrong! It did rain for a while and it was cold but that is making excuses I know. I don't know about Victor and Colin but I did find it difficult to get the length after indoor bowling so hopefully that will improve. However it was good to see the players from Hampton and Strawberry Hill and we enjoyed a pleasant tea afterwards with the usual raffle. The sad news is that Algy of Hampton recently passed away.
